Rettick Quarry
The Rettick quarry, operated by Stark Materials, is located on IL Route 36, ½ mile southwest of exit 142 on I-74 at Downs, IL. Click here for a general map of the Downs, IL area.
The raw material is extracted by crane and then fed into either a multi-staged wash plant that washes and separates the deposit or into a crusher plant that produces road gravel. The material is sold to Stark Excavating and a variety of other contractors and customers in central Illinois.
