Press Coverage

Stark Excavating and Stark Materials are dominant players in the Central Illinois excavation and construction materials markets.  Stark is also visible through its direct and indirect participation in many charitable events each year.  Below are some of the articles and events that highlight some of this very positive exposure.

2008

Stark Excavating makes the Inc 500 Honorary List -- Stark Excavating, Inc. has been included in the 2008 Inc 500 list as an honoree.  With a rank of 3,921, we are solidly in the top 5,000 fastest growing private companies in the country.  Stark's CFO, Gary Masso, had the following to say about being included in this elite group, "While other companies are growing at very explosive rates, I prefer steady and controlled growth.  While we didn't make the top 500, steady and controlled growth will help ensure that we are here for our customers for many years to come."

Emergency Sewer Repair on Fell Street -- Sometimes sewer repairs require the right equipment and personnel to be deployed at a moments notice.  An article appeared in the Illinois State University newspaper, the Daily Vidette, that captured one such event.

The Day of the Dozer -- Stark Excavating is one of a few proud sponsors of a unique event designed to be fun for the children of Central Illinois and raise money for the Community Cancer Center and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - McLean County Affiliate.  The 5th annual William F. Brady Day of the Dozer put children literally "in the driver's seat" (with a qualified operator) to see just what heavy construction equipment can really do.  To see what it's all about, click on 2003 Day of the Dozer for a Windows Movie Maker presentation of the fun.  (The presentation is about minutes long.)
